The move, which was finalized on or about June 13, marks an important milestone in the broader corporate adoption of crypto assets and Ethereum specifically. This major investment further underscores Ethereum’s growing prominence in the strategies corporates are using to diversify their treasury investments.

The average purchase price for ETH was $2,626. This resulted in a final transaction value (after all fees) of approximately $462.95 million. On-chain data, validated by crypto onchain analytics firm Lookonchain, corroborates the massive purchase made by SharpLink. SharpLink recently made a big investment in Ethereum, indicating their belief in the cryptocurrency’s long-term worth. This decision comes even as the crypto market continues to experience a bear market.

SharpLink’s strategic company-wide adoption of Ethereum goes much deeper than an outright purchase. Further, more than 95% of the ETH we have acquired has already been staked or moved into liquid staking protocols. SharpLink is an active participant in staking to help create yield on its staking assets. Beyond this industry promotion, their engagement improves the security, decentralization and operational efficiency of the Ethereum network.
