Students require instruction to be 15-20 decibels above background noise to facilitate higher learning recovery rates. The average classroom today can be over 77 decibels, well above the recommended levels. The new, uncontrolled noise bitcoin mines bring just adds to this problem, producing an environment that’s hazardous to a productive learning experience.

The situation in UP isn't isolated. Residents of Texas localities have brought suit against Marathon Digital, one of the big Bitcoin miners.
